Political contributions are not tax deductible. State law permits only personal checks and limited contributions to $4,700 per individual, per election. The CPRA (Prop 34) places limits on the contributions to candidates for state office and imposes certain prohibition. This request does not seek a contribution in exceeds of applicable limits or from prohibited sources. An individual, corporation, union, PAC, and other entities may contribute a maximum of $4,700 to the committee per election (primary and general). A registered small contributor committee may contribute a maximum of $8,800 per election.
